The legendary Waikiki Beachside Hostel was the best hostel in Hawaii. A non stop party. Teacher Jack is banned for eternity.
Teacher was happy working as Captain Jack Sparrow in Las Vegas, until the winter came. It was simply too cold and the number of customers diminished. He stayed at the Hostel Cat in Las Vegas and one of his roomates , John Ung, kept complaining about the Las Vegas cold. “It was bad, John simply wouldn’t stop complaining about the cold and kept saying how great Hawaii was. He convinced all of us to purchase tickets to Hawaii. He said he wanted to go back there. I bought my ticket first, then Tyson Martson bought his, and then John backed out.”-Teacher Jack. Teacher Jack was happy to land in Hawaii and the party scene was Waikki Beachside Hostel on Lemon Street.
There was a wild party there each night. Each party ended with the police being called and the Hostel management getting angry. Teacher Jack took much of the blame and eventually he was told that if he set foot on the property again, he would be arrested immediately. This did not stop Teacher Jack , however. He climbed a wall with a rope to get to the late night parties without being detected by the security cameras. “The girls and boys slept in the same room. Each morning the boys would wake up with a different girl next to them. It was like musical beds. We even joked about it. The parties were wild. You just slept anywhere and in anybody’s bed. What an absolute mess.”-Teacher Jack.

(Above) The parties at the Waikiki Beachside Hostel were legendary. The Norwegian crew of girls entertained us at every party. Girls would sleep in any bed with any man in these mixed dormatories.

To save money Teacher Jack and his crew would go camping in the state parks in Hawaii. They would build huge bonfires, get drunk and then play a deadly game of “chicken” to see who could swim into the Pacific Ocean the farthest at 2:00 am without being afraid. “It is a miracle that nobody died because Hawaii has every kind of man eating shark in the world.”- Teacher Jack Teacher Jack credits Brandon Haldane with swimming out the farthest. “He was about 100 yards out in the shark infested ocean at 2:00 am. I was terrified for him but the girls were thrilled with lust.”-Teacher Jack

At a wild party Tad Hulse was teasing a teen girl about her “street feet” because she walked eveywhere with no shoes on. While doing shots of rum , he dared Teacher Jack to lick her feet clean for an unopened bottle of rum. The drunken Teacher Jack instantly went down on her dirty toes and the party went wild. It became the talk of the hostel for weeks afterward. Tad was completely disgusted and never spoke to Teacher Jack again.

We begged them to stay but they had had enough of Teacher Jack’s antics…..and others. “The girls wanted privacy after a month with us wild boys. It was a girl thing. They still came back to the hostel for parties now and then, but they were sick of boys using their stuff without asking, trying on their bras and panties when they got drunk, the alcohol, the loud music, waking up in the wrong beds, blacking out ,and all the trouble that came with all of that.”- Teacher Jack. (Above) Tyson Martson begged to go with Teacher Jack to Thailand to be his sidekick just like Las Vegas, however, Teacher Jack new that Tyson’s unemployment was nearly expired and he did not want to carry him in Thailand. Teacher Jack cut him loose and moved on.

Our space time coordinates came together here on this magical island. We shared time together. We outlasted the Waikiki Beachside Hostel which is now closed but that name will live in our memories forever.”- Teacher Jack
“Hawaii was a non stop party filled with spectacular views. Even when something bad happened, it was good eventually. When I lost my debit card in the ocean and my bank messed up three times sending me a new one, I met Rich and Claire who lived out of a tent in a state park. They fed me and took care of me untill my debit card arrived. They were happy when I gave them money upon my departure.
Then I dated Mandy Harpstrite, a dance teacher and I eventually moved in with her. Everything in Hawaii was good but employment was hard to find as a teacher. At a house party in Hawaii I met a guy who taught English in Thailand. I told myself that if I could not find employment in Hawaii that I would take the bold step of going to Thailand to work. My girlfriend, Mandy Harpstrite, helped me get my passport but she did not want me to leave. She was almost having a nervous breakdown as she drove me to the airport. Hawaii was fantastic but I felt that it was not the place for me and every time I traveled to the west, my life improved greatly. I looked at my plane ticket and my first stop was Dalian, China before arriving in Bangkok, Thailand. I wondered what the hell was Dalian, China? “- Teacher Jack
